70’s Classic Rock Book Review ~Whole Lotta Led Zeppelin: The Illustrated History of the Heaviest Band of All Time

If I truly have a weakness it is the most enjoyable of weaknesses , the love of all things Led Zeppelin. My friend and blogger of Rock Art over @ 70’s Classic Rock did a awesome review of Led Zeppelin: The Illustrated History of the Heaviest Band of All Time ~ and his description of the contents of the book make me want to run to Amazon right now to order …..

As I turned each page my eyes immediately were drawn to the full page images of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham, in some classic stance or a performance from the early days. Photos, concert posters and playbills I’ve never seen before. Even cooler is Jon Bream’s writing that is so involving you have to keep reading on. I found myself rereading certain sections as if I was hitting the rewind button on my tape player to repeat Stairway to Heaven or Kashmir.

I love to see another fan of Zeppelin get to review new items like this book, and reviews like this help to see how other fans of Zeppelin think about the band.

Great Review!!!

Where are you Jeff Blazy?

I noticed quite a few readers coming here using the search terms Jeff Blazey gets fired and the like, so I went over the the 101.7 website only to see he was not listed in the on air section. I emailed asking how to contact Jeff ( I had wanted to get an interview with him after doing Bob’s anyway) we will see what I learn folks.
I will post what I hear but I have a feeling he left, and was not fired. He was too great a talent on air at that station for firing. I do not listen to the station on air or the net, but if it was due to ‘restructuring’ of the stations playlist … well their loss.
I have a few other things of note to post today, be back in a bit :-)
