edit ~ 12/11/2008 :
Interview with Jeff Blazy is posted here!

Okay, I was a bit hesitant to place this here but since SOOOO many of you are coming seeking information about what happened with Jeff B, I did get a hold of him and I asked him for an interview ( which I was going to do after the Interview with Bob Lilley) and he told me to get back to him after the first of the year.

So, as far as this blog is concerned…. we will at least be able to talk with him soon. If you have any questions you would like to have asked just leave word here on the blog and I will try to get them into my interview if and when I am able to do it.

Can’t wait until the New Year!!!!

Okay, went to the under 40 set for my vid picks for tonight, as I had promised before that I would be more open to what the youtube generation is hearing ….. and got two great choices for tonight! I have to say that I heard Get Down with the Sickness in the movie Dawn of the Dead ( which my family watches when ever they get a chance)
This week has been up and down, and the thing that best picks me up is a loud, raucous set of tunes.

These two songs definitively did it for me, now I have to go steal my kids CD collection and see what else they are hiding on me! And no, I am not living under a rock. I have heard Thirty Seconds to Mars repeatedly in my house, I just up until now have been tuning them out. Now I know better…..

Enjoy ~

If you are like me, you have a couple of Social Sites that you use each day, Facebook, MySpace or my personal favorites Plurk and Twitter. Now there is a site just like those but with tunes and videos!
The site is called Kerchoonz.com and it has some really promising units to play with such as videos and music.
Unknown

The idea behind Kerchoonz is simple, artists should be getting exposure with their music and they should be compensated but the playing field should be first and foremost a place to let your creativity out! At Kerchoonz, you can meet other musicians, socialize, share, create, and explore together in complete harmony because the rules are laid out plain and simple. And the site is free to use, which is always a good thing.

The site is nicely laid out, easy to use and fun. If it is not fun then I will not be back as much, which explains my utter lack of interest in Facebook these days, but that is another post.

So far I have been able to play around a bit, watched a Killers video, heard some Helicopter Girl
( nice techno sound) and checked out some unsigned artists as well. You can join groups and follow people like you do in MySpace but it seems a bit less cluttered * good sign*.

This is a site to keep your eyes on, I have joined and will be a regular weekly visitor because you never know when you will hear the next great band! I do hope to discover more hard rock bands there in the weeks to come. There is a ton to check out and I am sure it will be fun doing so.
I would suggest a genre search option as it is not clear what your about to listen to until you listen to it, which makes for a frustrated user ( well, okay it frustrated me!) so maybe in the weeks to come small details like that can be added and worked on.

There is something else that makes this website different from the others, a Biz Section that allows for placement of contact information on Music Based Business. The listing there now is New Media Law LLP, a great resource for musicians. There is also a classifieds section as well, are you a budding Artist, a up and coming actor or actress, then this is where you can place your advertisement!
Kerchoonz is going to be a player in the Internet Music arena, and I plan on keeping a eye on this for future reference.

Why not watch the video below and then give a whirl at Kerchoonz?
