I believe fully, with all my heart that one of the most important jobs I have right after my family is to support my Troops. I have two sons who serve, my Father served and my brother served. My Uncles ( three ) served and my cousins serve. I myself as a teen went to another country to in a sense serve my country while my Father did his part. I have wonderful dearly loved friends who also serve * hey scoo * and I have many friends whose family serve.

While making sure my Troops receive all the support they deserve is tops in my books, there is also a group of people who are not as well known who also deserve to be taken care of, the families of those who serve. The mothers, fathers, wives and husbands of Servicemen and women who are over seas upholding all so we can be free. This is an honor to have a family member do his or her duty, it shows we love and share love with others. But there is one very special group of people who really need our support , the children of the Servicemen and women. They more than anyone else pay the ultimate price, separation from Father and Mother.

I work with a group of supremely dedicated people who in their own special ways help to support these children, JR4OT.org. I am thankful to be a part of that organization as their blogger. So when an opportunity comes my way to write about the children of those who serve, I jump at the chance.

Today I would like to share with you what Sears has been doing for the children and family members of those who serve. They have set up a section right on their main website called Sears Heroes at Home where you can go and help! You can go and make a donation, there have been 1,398,096 donations made to date! Thank you all. Your donations are so important, and the people who receive help are so thankful. You are blessed beyond measure when you help out these wonderful people.

While at the site you can read stories of those who have been helped, post a message of support to the troops and their families and if you are a website owner you can even get a pretty badge like mine above to show you support our troops and their families. While these donations are not tax deductible and are given as Sears Gift Cards, the main idea is that you are helping a fellow human being and that is all the reward one needs in life, to know you helped make someone feel loved.

Please watch this video and I hope it will show you how truly awesome it will be when you donate!

I thank you for allowing me the space on this Rock Music Blog to post this information. The support of the troops and their families , and the support of our fellow planet mates is so important to me.

Today I feel exactly like this tree, I feel as if I am being bent and pushed by unseen forces into a new creature. I am not sure I like the pain of the bending but who would? It is this bending , this breaking of the comfort zone that makes us who we are meant to be in this event we call life.

I have a Google News Alert that sends me updates on any topic I assign it, one topic I keep a watch over for this blog is Led Zeppelin. For a few weeks it has been a constant stream of everyone in Rock and their grandma’s weighing in on whether Led Zeppelin should reunite and tour, especially without Robert Plant being on board.

I have blogged on this topic a few times, so my views are well known on this. What is really bothering me now is the fact that well known folks like Jeff Beck or Paul McCartney who just happen to be in music think their views count more than the fans do.

I respect Mr McCartney and I am grateful for his music, it helped the world and its people at times and brought us joy. That does not give him the right to be heard and considered in this whole conversation more than the fans of Led Zeppelin. At least not in my opinion. * walking on thin ice here, because who do I think I am in all this, right? *

I just hope that Mr Page reads the Internet , blogs and really attempts to find those whose views on this that are not the same. I wonder how many fans really feel that they would rather not see any form of Led Zeppelin if Robert Plant were not to sing. I wonder how many fans feel as I do, that I would rather see them in any configuration as long as I can hear the sweet sounds of the songs I have come to know and love so well.

Like this tree, I am fighting a feeling of being the only Led Zeppelin fan in the entire world who would give anything to just sit down and hear the music live. If Robert Plant wants to continue on doing his new stuff, cool. I can live with that and I accept that desire of his as valid. I just wish he would stop doing his interviews now, his choice is clear; he will not tour with Led Zeppelin. Now can we please get on with finalizing this so some how I can manage to see Jimmy and have my wish?
