It is a Sad Sad Day Led Zeppelin Fans ~ Reports of Tour, Record Incorrect News

Well, thank YOU BBC and NME for checking dates and facts! Before any one says I am a dumb ass, let me state that I was NOT the only one to bite on that report by NME, MTV and Rollingstone Mag also ran with it! Don’t believe me? I saved the screenshot’s of each of the big boy reports just for my own sanities sake.

Now I get that afore mentioned Google alert for LZ and expect some awesome news, get into the link and see what? A post from Music Radar stating that yesterdays news reports were , get this…….. due to a wrong date reported originally by the BBC and NME.

Hey, it is okay we all make mistakes, right?

This teaches me one thing (and I as a researcher should have done this) go in search of the original source story, and do not post until this is done. Had I done what I was trained to do in school I would have been the one to break this story instead of Music Radar ( kudos to ya, but unfair advantage in that you all can actually CALL the management and ask questions, if I were to do that the Sec would hang the phone asap)

So, this post at Music Radar lays out the screwup nicely, give it a digg and a read.

My thoughts? Thank god I have all the music, and I can still hold out hope that Jimmy will do music on his own for his fans, and maybe have the remaining members with him? He could call it the NOT Led Zeppelin Band, or something. I really do not care as long as I can sit and hear them live, so call it what ever.

Sorry for passing along misinformation but this shows us (me) how truly unrestrained the net is for information, and you better be checking original sources each time you do a post. I know I will from now on.

Oh, update on that idea of mine to ask Jimmy for an interview. I sent an email off to who I was told was his Management last evening……… I will let you know what I hear if I ever do! Can not imagine what I would do if Jimmy actually said yes, I guess write the interview questions up after I wake up from the coma ;-)

later daze ………

Do you dream of writing and recording your own music?

This is one piece of software that is from Microsoft that I fully intend on trying out today, Songsmith. I have to thank Robert Scoble ( once again ) for all the work he does to bring all the newest and most interesting in software applications and other geeky tech toys to the masses. I can always count on Mr. S to educate me and leave me understanding what he is discussing, and it’s always fun to check out his Kyte channel.

One of these years I am going to be at a CES… it is the wonderland of goodies in the tech world. There is always something coming out for everyone as is seen by todays post. Imagine what we will be doing with our computers in 5 years!!!

Here is Robert Scoble interviewing the research team behind Songsmith ~

here is the demo download page and below is the demo video ~
