So today we greeted a New President, Barack Obama. I have been alive now for 10 Presidents. I pride myself on being a history nut, but today truly was the first time I had ever sat down and really participated, watched an Inauguration of a US President.

My kids and I watched together, from 7 am up to President Obama’s Swearing in. We learned a few surprising things, the major one being this is no fad, people have truly passed over a line into being grown up Americans. I hope all who read here know of my utter and absolute support of my Troops, my sons serve and I will always support my Troops no matter what. It has been up until today been them that I have turned to to really see what it means to be an American. Today I had over 2 million people to look to to see real Americans and I can not be prouder of you all.

I just have this feeling that we are on the verge of the greatest moment in American History and I am so happy to be a tiny part of this all.

One of the things I love most about the President is his willingness to be completely open and available to the American People, his twitter accounts are still open and he has a twitter now for the White House! When you go the White House Web Site this is what greets you on the Contact Us page ~

President Obama is committed to creating the most open and accessible administration in American history. To send questions, comments, concerns, or well-wishes to the President or his staff, please use the form below:
I encourage each of you who have not yet visited the revamped website to do so, this is your place to go and keep abreast of all that is happening with your government, use it!

It has been said that when God closes one door, he always opens another, today he did open a door. It is up to US to walk through that door. See ya on the other side fellow Americans!
:-)
and so, a little John Cougar Mellancamp ~
