Check this photo out … it is from 1918! The mans name is Major Wilfred Ashton McCloughrty of Australia. He was Commanding Officer of the No.4 Squadron Flying Corps (AFC).
And he stands in front of a Sopwith Camel Aircraft! Anyone recall Sopwith Camel????? The Band I mean???
My son is home from Japan for a visit before he goes to his next post, so my posts for today will be a bit different. I will be back later this evening to post todays Video pick, but I saw this photo at Flickr in the Commons Project they are doing with Library of Congress and felt I had to share.
As we all sit and watch the Government give away money hand over fist to the Banking System and the Auto makers many of us wonder where we fit in? We have incurred debts that for most people was not anything they did on purpose, as the saying goes… stuff happens. ( thanks Forrest
The scariest thing about managing consumer debt is finding out what to do and where to even go and find the information. If you need information about debt consolidation there are many websites to go but how do you know that the information you will be getting is right for your situation? The biggest indicator of whether a website has timely and correct information is how much is posted for you to read on the site for free. For instance, this post The Power of Small Change is both informative and helpful. I like when I can get many points of view and many avenues to take part in when looking for debt help.
The real reason most people do not take the first step in debt consolidation or debt management is that they feel like they are facing a monster of epic proportions. They need someone to show them that while debt is serious there are many people who are able to provide help and give them some peace of mind. Once you see that making a debt plan is not impossible you begin to have hope and as you work through the debt management process you begin once again to see light at the end of the tunnel.
We may not get a bail out like the Banking System but we are tough and when we are done paying our debts down we will have the accomplishment to keep like a badge of honor. I know as I write my debts down on paper and make a plan to tackle it I do feel a sense of control. It is worth the time for you to sit down and go over some of the information given on the websites and see if there is debt management process you can work with.
Take back your life, your dreams.
Yes, you read that right…. all you 80’s rock fans, those of us who loved hearing Hysteria and Pyromania on the radio get to go and see the bands on tour, oh yeah.
I am a total and unabashed Def Lep fan, no ands if or buts about it. Now will I be a bit taken back by seeing my boyz on stage a bit greyer, a bit older, maybe. The whole they grew older thing kind of gives the old ticker a kick start but, I am cool. I never got to see them in concert when they were a big deal, but always wanted to so now is my chance.

PassionSearch.com is a dating service on the Internet that allows you to take your information about your local and age and enter the information into the websites database and then you get results based on what you input. Since this website wanted me to sign up for an account in order to go deeper into the site I was not able to see how the whole thing works but I was able to read TOS from that page see what the site construction was. * I am married , but this was really not my issue with setting up an account, I just did not want to give out my information or play act as if I were trying the system when I am not. *
From what I could find out this site seems well made, and very easy to use. There are tabs at the top of the website that will allow you to access your account once you have signed up. And from what little I did of the account set up process , seems pretty painless all in all.
If you have had bad experiences before with online dating services or if you have never tried one before why not make passion searchyour first stop?
You know that huge site on the net, where you can go grab all sorts of videos to watch? Well, there is a two part set of the Song Remains The Same on said site! Every time this movie is on VH1 I miss most of it, you would think I would finally go and buy a copy for myself.
It is one of my favouritism music films to watch, as much as I am a PF fan, I am not huge on the Wall and I do love the Who but do not like Tommy one bit.
Here is a trailer for the 07 remastered film that was brought to Theatres * another thing I missed, damn *
And speaking of the WHO check out D & E Entertainments trailer ~ The Who: Live At Kilburn 1977
They have an upcoming event _ Crue Fest 2008 on March 19th at 8 pm but no theater’s are near me, * sigh*
You can check the website out, it has a lot of info and its good to keep them in your mind for weekly checks of what new stuff they will have coming out.
I will also make a link to them as this is stuff all good rockers want to have handy
I am thinking about redoing my windows. It has been awhile and while what I have up is serviceable, they hardly scream HGTV. I am hoping one day to redo the entire livingroom in either an Asian motive or a mixed American Style. I like the simplicity that the Asian feel will bring to the room, not exactly sparse but not over done with things. Clutter drives me nuts.
While looking over the draperies that are available today, and there are literally hundreds of styles to work with; I began to think maybe blinds would be a better way to go. There are styles to fit almost every design choice and the cost is about the same as nice drapes. The best part about blinds is the ease they represent in cleaning and use. No more washing the drapes each month because they are dusty, instead I can simply take a damp cloth and wipe the blinds down and then apply a bit of polish to them for a nice shine.
I wanted to see what types of blinds I could find that would fit the Asian theme I have in mind and was a bit surprised to find they are not a regular choice at dealers, hopefully in the future they will be. I did find a few styles I did feel would fit such as the Roman Shades and the Venetian Blinds. They both offer a simple look that wont interfere too much with either one of the styles I like. So if you are about to redo your rooms for a fresh look, why not considerwooden blindsas a nice alternative to drapes? You never know where that look will take you next.I know they have been featured quiet a bit lately on the home improvement and design shows on HGTV, and what ever they do always becomes top notch for the rest of the design industry.
