The most amazing video of Dolphin behavior I have ever seen
To those who know my family , the love of animals is paramount with us. We save any animals we can and make sure those we can not personally save are taken where there are no kill rules so that they can have loving homes. We even have the family Official Turtle Rescue Mission.
So to hear that Dolphins are now displaying intriguing behaviour I had to see for myself what the fuss was. This news hit on ABC News with Charles Gibson.
Seems that the Dolphins at Sea World have begun to play in a way no other dolphins have shown before. They are blowing bubbles with their blow-holes and playing with them! They make the rings larger and then smaller and twirl it around like a hula hoop. The biologists at the park state that they think this may be learned behaviour passed on to each generation, mostly by the females.
I have long thought that Dolphins were sentient beings, not unlike ourselves. They have been used by the US Navy in the past, and show great proclivity for learning complex work. They seem to talk to each other and to humans and even show great care in protecting humans and other animals from shark attack.
To know that they are once again trying to communicate via this behavior is pretty cool, and I can not wait to go see this for myself.
