Blazy and Bob – Blues News

So I am listening to the show now…

They do a section called Blues News:

Overland Park KS – One man, two wives…. confrontation, um interesting. I have friends from there, hope I hear more gossip on this.

Milwaukee Wisconsin ~

Robbers who stole jewelry, robbed. The horror, is there no honor among thieves anymore?

California ~

Marijuana Farm exposed by crash…… damn the luck. What a way to come home from a ski trip and an expensive trip that became eh?

Nice …. they had Christine McVie do an intro for the show ;-p what a life. Rock music, being on the air, it’s like being a kid forever. I want your job Blazy.

So, what were some of the songs I heard? Back on the Chain Gang by The Pretenders, Soul Aslyum Runaway Train ( good song, sounds a bit like Petty to me) BTO Taking Care of Business, holy smokes this was one record I think I killed playing as a kid. Great website too, BTOROCKS I think I had better get my butt to completing the Artist Page I have. Next up we had Hot For Teacher Van Halen. It was too darned early for me to turn on my full sized speakers that I have attached to my PC, yeah… I had to have em. My DH hooked em up so I can be obnoxious on a loud scale lol. Nope, I have not grown up yet, and don’t freaking plan to. Its hilarious that my 18 year old keeps yelling at me to turn my music down! So this will be my video for this post , enjoy :

Well Rock Fans, I am going to get to my ‘other’ work now but I will leave the show running. Imagine not having the Internet , at least I can listen to Bay Area radio even if I can not be home *sniff*.

have a totally awesome day friends ;-p
and remember to keep rocking!

Advertising by Blog ~ Good Idea?

Ever since the Internet became the most popular thing to do besides watch TV, someone has tried to make it pay off for them. One of the most interesting and profitable ways so far to make money via the net is to do blog reviews. Some folks do not like this idea much, and have even referred to Blogger’s who do this as shillers. I myself like to think of doing paid reviews as a great advertising machine , a totally original means of getting the word out about your company or product.

If you are looking for a way to introduce your company or product to the masses why not consider having a campaign toadvertise on blogs? You get personal attention to your product or idea and you get the fantastic side effect of having your product or company keywords in a search engine pretty quick, all for a reasonable rate.

I do agree that the blogger must pay attention to the product, really find out about it and make sure it is something that they can either stand behind or at least support honestly. I do not write posts that are favorable just to be paid. If I find a product or company that I feel is not cool, I just do not write about them. I have turned down posts before for this very reason. It is perfectly acceptable to write paid posts, this is exactly the same thing those big Ad Exec’s do except we do not cost your company a ton of moo la to do it for you.

And a plus for the blogger is the fact that they get exposed to many new and fun products they may have otherwise missed in the daily tonnage of information on the net. I have actually been introduced to products that I now use and love all because of a writing job I was given to do.

If you are interested in doing paid reviews on your site, check out PayingPost.com. They are easy enough to get registered with, the site and blog are laid out in an easy to use format and they have eclectic listings to choose from. I do think they can do a bit more work on their customer service attention but I suppose they will iron out the kinks in the system soon enough.

Bob Seger – Warm voice of my past

First up, I would like to send my condolences to the families of Sgt. Christopher P. Abeyta of Illinois, Sgt. Robert M Weinger and Spc. Norman Cain III. These fine soldiers were taken from this life in Afghanistan last week . Sgt. Abeyta was a fellow blogger. Thank you for your service to our country and my family. May God Bless your families and know this is one American who is damn thankful for your service.

Sgt. Christopher P. Abeyta, 23, of Midlothian, Illinois, was killed last week while serving in Afghanistan. Sgt. Abeyta and two other soldiers who were with him, Sgt. Robert M. Weinger and Spc. Norman Cain III, were also killed when the vehicle they were riding in was struck by an IED.

Sgt. Abeyta ran a military blog from Afghanistan called The Chronicles of Butters! and according to a news story Sgt. Ab eyta had kept a journal since he was 11-years old…

Good morning fellow Rock Music fans!

It is a fine Tuesday morning, full of promise. Better end up as well as it has begun that is all I have to say :-)
My day is going to be full of music today as I have a few posts to write for this blog and a few other places. I also have to get my arse going on the PR for the Welcome Home to Jericho Event in LA coming up this April. If you are a Jericho fan, check out the Welcome Home website for all the cast and crew who have RSVP for the event. It will be a fun time for all.

I wanted to ask that if any of you have twitter accounts and want to join into a ROCK Twitter group to leave me word here. I think it would be a great way to connect and keep up on whose touring, what is up in the Rock arena etc. My account is kystorms, so if your into it hit me up.

I got to listen in to KNOB this morning and the first song I heard was Bob Segers Travlin Man from Beautiful Loser, one of the best Albums he did in IMHO.

I was trying to catch Blazy and Bob but its still a tad early for them out there, at 8:15 am est. I am going to hang for a while to catch their opening and see if I will be transported back in time ( yeah, still hanging on to my youth….. I know I can not be the only one who does that, right?)

Right now they are playing Heart – Crazy On You from Dreamboat Annie one of our generations finest female Rock Albums bar none.
In my list of finest female vocalists ( acts) it stacks up like this:

1. Stevie Nicks ( Fleetwood Mac )
2. Anne and Nancy Wilson ( Heart )
3. Annie LennoxEurythmics
4. Pat Benatar
5. Grace Slick - any, all ( Jefferson Airplane,

Now this list will move according to my mood, but these are the top ladies if I had to choose. I miss these types of strong female voices. Today’s female voice is dolled up with synthesizers and background noise. No one that I can see can belt out the tunes like the ladies of Rock could and some cases, still do.

Oh and to those yahoos who have been coming here leaving not so nice comments about certain things, KNOCK IT OFF. I wont be posting any of your drivel here any time soon, so you be wasting your time dudettes. While you are certainly welcome to your opinion, you can’t put it here :-p

I am off to get ready to listen in on Blazy and Bob. I will post on what I hear soon.
