Ozzy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need I say more? Okay, so I am cheating a tad, I am listening to Blazy and Bob on 96.7 BOB FM and yes; at this time of morning my aged fried brain needs some help in the choose the music department – what ever , are you faster mentally than I am at 46? I think NOT.

So why Ozzy? Well, damn have you seen him in his fuzzy slippers? He has to be the most cuddly ROCK God ever. I would leave my sweet kitties with him , my kids even. What does that tell ya? Not good enough? My 66 year old mom thinks he is adorable, she only listens to Paul Anka, the Chairman of the B, you know the 40s stuff.

tofu a dirty word?

woman loves TOFU ( the food ) this love is not shared by Denver DMV . Kelly Koffman Lee wanted a plate showing her love for tofu * ILTOFU * on her plate… DMV thought the letters could be obscene — TOO RICH, LOL.. took me five minutes to catch that one. I AM SO OLD.

Mean people at drive through’s and 911 calls ~

You all recall this from this weekend I am sure – A woman dials 911 from the Tahoss drive A and D Buffalos Restaurant about lacking shrimp….. this one hit CNN… gotta wonder about the brain power of some folks.
Why did she call 911? She was shortened on her shrimp order, LOL.

waco tx – silent but deadly

2 men in motel room, one passes gas
they were eating at the time – this detail is SO important

one man was so upset about it that he

threw a knife at other mans leg, then stabbed him in chest!

The injured man was transported to a Waco hospital with
three places to release that fragrant smell now. YUCK.

Busy day in the world of Blues News.

and todays video is of course, Ozzy~

What a Zune can do and what it can’t

Well, I got the Zune as a birthday present from my brother ( hugs brother ;-p ) and I loaded up the Journey Album Essential Journey. Then since I had to do some work on my PC I thought it would be nice to listen to the music via my stereo speakers using Windows Media Center. Not so fast bucko, no can do on that one. Yep, you can own a Premium Vista OS and a nifty 120 GB Zune but the two will never go out on a date. No syncing for you my friends.

Now, I am not always the brightest bulb in the box, but is it not reasonable to think that Windows Media Center and Player ( being MS programs ) would be a nice fit for another Windows Program or other hardware from MS, like say the freaking Zune?

So, I can either buy another album for my computer ( and why would I do that, what is this the docks in Boston 1930s?) or I can simply not enjoy the music I have on the Zune via my computer and stereo speakers. Maybe next time Microsoft will consider the fact that this Vista OS costs 259.00 and the 120 GB costs another 259.00 and that being able to connect the two would be swell, and fair.

Gah, sorry. I wanted to write a review about the Zune, so here is what I DO like about it.

It can hold a sweet amount of tunes and videos, as well as TV shows so for a trip this would be smashing to have. Its pretty easy to get used to, the controls are okay but I would suggest maybe making the off switch a bit different. I like the look and feel, for me having a tiny iPod is like holding a cheap toy ( sorry Mac users, I am just saying ) so the weight of the Zune is nice. I like how it stacks up the music, but so far I have not found where to make play lists, or if I even can.

The software is okay, a bit old fashioned for my taste. I would love to see it laid out more like tweetdeck, that would rock. There is not a good help file section that I can find beyond the basics you get now in the Zune software.

Other than those few things, I like this device. I would choose the Zune over an iPod even with the lack of support for the Zune to Vista. I know MS is slow but I expect them to catch up. As I have told my brother I have gone to the dark side :-P being a ex linux user ( Ubuntu was my love ) so I am loving the ability I have using Vista to connect everything in my life, just not my music… not yet.

I wish I could also list my current play list here, so I can share what I am listening to, another hint for MS.

I do enjoy the fact that between my Computer, my external drive and the Zune I now have almost a terra bite in hard drive space, makes me feel positively geeky.

Pushing this blog further with letterheads, stationary and address labels

I am going to go the extra mile with this blog. I have decided to branch out, ask for more interviews with bands from the 80’s and also other personalities as well. In order to do this productively and professionally I need professional address labels and a letterhead. I need to get going and move to the next level because I know this blog has what it takes, I just need to shine it up a bit.

First I am going to need my own logo, which I can either do up in Adobe myself or I can find someone who might want the job for a reasonable price. I will have to go to a few companies and see who can offer me a good idea. The letterhead will also have to wait until the logo obviously because I will need my logo on it. But I can do some things now, such as get my mailing labels all done up.

I did find a company that lets you either choose a design and layout they have made or you can upload your own design and the prices are terrific. At VistaPrint you can find any type of industry in the premade templates or you can search by style and theme. I checked out what they had in the industry choices first,  choosing Music and Entertainment first and liked what I saw but I did not find anything that fit this blogs specific niche. I also did not find a color scheme that I could use, because eventually I will finish the new theme in the Black and Yellow so everything has to match. But they have a great selection in this industry . Another way to do this is to use the wizard for design that they provide on the website, which I played with and it was so easy. I wish I could legally use the KOME logo because I was able to make one I loved with the decal as a background.

I am so happy that no matter what I choose, my own design or something they help me make that what I choose will be great, with a great price that fits my level of expense I can afford right now. Next I have to make my stationary, and it will not be a chore to do as long as I continue to use VistaPrint. I also have to call CBS and ask who owns the logo now, I still want it :-)

last light on the trees

last light on the trees

I am not sure if I have ever mentioned before that I love this photographer, he works magic with his camera. I have been able to see my homeland and always feel as if I were really there again.
Today has been a grand day, an awesome and grand day. I got a job one that will work into much more if I am what they need, and it is a job that I will love to do! Then check this out, Wendy and Lisa ( think Prince) who have a twitter account, followed me back, I freaked when I saw that. If Prince were on there and followed me I would not be as thrilled as I was when I saw the notification today for those two ladies.

I loved the movie Purple Rain, great story line and really perfect music for its time. But what always stood out to me were the two talented groups that played in that movie, Morris Day and The Time and Wendy and Lisa. Yes, I know in the movie they played back up but they really were talented beyond that.

So again, I am going to let my ‘other music side’ show and put some Purple Rain videos up for you to enjoy~

and the two ladies who rocked the movie

and if you want to see even more of their work, check this link for Waterfall

The only thing besides winning the lottery that would make today spectacular, would be for me to get an interview with those two ladies, man you would have to wipe me off the floor! Hey, a girl can dream can’t she???

Peace

More Tour Info ~ Heart, Foghat, Thorogood and more………

One of the best places I have found on the net to find quality information on Rock tours is the website Melodic Rock Concerts. Now that he has moved his blog from the old site to a new location its even better as a resource, and even more awesome is that this person has the most beautiful photographs from each show he goes to. You get the story and pictures and that makes his site one top notch Rock website.

He posts that Heart is touring this summer and gives the dates here.
Also of note, George Thorogood is touring this summer and the dates and info can be found here.

Others he posts as touring include Steve Winwood, Foghat, Survivor, and Skid Row just to tease ya. If you want the complete listing he posts check it out on his site!

Hells Bells, its almost like being back in 1989 again ;-p don’t I wish.

I will be updating the Artists Page tonight, should be complete by tomorrow!

Some how about some tunes eh?

George Thorogood ~ Bad to the Bone

Skid Row ~ 18 and life Live

Foghat ~ Slow Ride
