I remember a DJ on in the afternoons, weekdays, mid- to late 90s. I didn’t recognize his name on the list above. He was a member of a R&R group. It seems as tho’ his first name was Greg. What was his name?!

Hi Chris
The only DJ I recall ( and I left CA after 94 so anyone on the air after that time I would not know
was Greg Stone, and he is on the list. I think he was always on nights if my memory serves. I can sure ask and see if there was a Greg on afternoons, do you recall a year???
thanks for the comment, come by any time.

It was great being a part of the “TRL” finale. Carson Daly was somebody who really embraced me when I came to MTV in 2000. I was somewhat of an outsider. I came from a different place, and I looked different, with the hair
Hey
Thanks for coming to the blog and leaving word, can I ask who you might be?
Any way, great to hear from you and please feel free to come back any time, I would love hear from others in the music field!
Hello! Your Post “ME ~ Disc Jockey Listing | Rock Music ~ KOME Style” is very interesting for me. Unfortunately my written English is not so good so I write in German: Dir, meinem liebsten, geh
I have been trying to find info on a song that Blazey & Bob played all the time in the early 90′s (guessing about then) called The Jamaican Bobsled Song. It had nothing to do with the movie Cool Runnings (if actually came out long before the movie). I have contacted Laurie Roberts and Greg Kihn both and they have no information. It seems like it was a live recording done while Blazey and Bob were on location in Jamaica, but not sure about that. It is an excellent gimic type song and I really want to find a way to buy a recording of it (a simple download, or at the very least, the name of the band that performed it. Anyone with an information – please let me know – this is driving me nuts!
Thanks for any help – Rodger
Hi Roger
I can certainly ask Bob about this for ya! Will get back when I have the answer!!!
thanks for visiting !!!
Thanks, any info would be great.
My brother and I try to recall the names of KOME DJs from time to time. I did most of my listening from 1983 to 1991. A few names that didn’t make the list above that are worth mentioning are Candy Chamberlain (Rock me Candy), Craig “Killer” Kilpatrick (Traffic Jam), Larry Miles, Brad Lee and the Overnightly. His show’s intro was Mr. Lee by the Bobettes. And of course Uncle Frank now Auntie Fran. I think Goodby Yellow Brick Road was the most popular album featured on the Classic Album Exchange. Dave Wohlman’s Sunday Morning Time Machine was fun to listen to, if I was ever up that early on a Sunday. Stephen Page’s noon-time ritual, “Let’s eat! And he said the word.” Friday’s 3rd helping was always Zeppelin. Radio was fun back then. Thanks for the memories.
Hello Tom
Thanks for visiting and for the names as well. I will get them added into the list and find their information
these are the memories I am looking for on this project.
.
Thank you. You have helped someone more than you could know.
Hey, Im looking for the same song Roger asked about on 11/30/08. I heard it on a Miami/Ft.lauderdale radio station. Any info would be great.
Jamaican Bobsled song.
My local Radio station WZZO just played it this morning as a charity request day. I emailed The Bearman and Keith to find out who it was by. Keith responded telling me it was Bearman who made the song back when he was a DJ in Miami. I’m not sure if he even went be the name Bearman back then. check them out at Wzzo.com for more info.
I used to live in the Bay Area (Foster City), and loved listening to Candy Chamberlain, she was always pleasant, awell informed, and played great music; and it was always a pleasure talking to her.
Does anyone know where she is today, and what station she’s on?

Did anyone ever find out how to get a copy of that Jamaican Bobsled Song from the ’90s? I haven’t heard it in years but I would love to get ahold of it…thanks.
Hi there, I’m currently researching for a post that I’m creating for my own site. I have found this post most helpful and I was wondering if I may link to your article as it may be of great interest to my readers? Many thanks. Charlie G. Hawkins
