Been away has it not? I have been super busy working ( sigh , but thankful to God above that I have a great job ) I will be back here this weekend because I have a few new things to post, so be at peace my fellow rockers until we meet again
In Wildwood New Jersey this summer there will be some great concerts , the Radio Disney Summer Concert Series. They will be held at Morey’s Piers beginning in June and going until August. These concerts are free and will showcase many of the top Radio Disney artists. Morey’s piers is a perfect place for family Wildwood vacations . Go to Morey’s Piers website to find information on Wildwood New Jersey hotels
as well as many other neat things a family can do while experiencing their Wildwood vacations One of the most fun for kids beside the concerts are the awesome New Jersey amusement parks that bring families back again and again. So come and enjoy a family Jersey Shore beach Vacation and build some memories that will last a lifetime.
I live in Kentucky and today went south to London Ky. It is raining, keep that face in mind please. So the only way to London is either taking State Route 25 ( the old North – South highway) or I/75. I hate and abhor I75, would rather chew my own arm off than take that highway anywhere. We took 25 south on the way down, not bad.
After doing my shopping the DH decided that he was not into pandering to my fears and took 75. It is raining, not your cute little drizzel but the whole 40 days and 40 nights deal. 15 feet in front of your car you could not see the car lights let alone the cars.
So here we all are, clocking 75-80 on an aged , f8ed up road that Hadrian would be embarrassed to ride on. Pot holes, cracks, jumps you name it. And the best part? Demon truck drivers and idiot drivers. Here you are in the fast lane trying to stay in the clear spots because to get caught in the ponding water is certain death, and what comes up on your right? Little Miss S for brains doing 90 and yes, she passes us and pulls in front of us with like 10cm to spare for room. All the while the truckers have decided it was the day to try and take me out and are all around me , have you ever been boxed in by demon truck drivers?
Bottom line – idiot drivers, better hope you don’t pull those stunts when I am driving, jail can’t be that bad as far as I am concerned and oh, take a drivers course!
I say two things need to be done, some one has to teach these ‘ladies’ how to freaking drive and then they need to construct a road system for the truckers where I don’t have to be near them.
I think UPS would have been really interested in how one of their double trucks was driving by the way, he is lucky I could not get my camera to take a clear shot of his ass.
Phew……. I am done ( sort of )
This particular song -Don’t Tread On Me by the Damn Yankees was used by the Jericho fans due to the fact that in the last two shows of Jericho the Dont Tread on Me Flag was prominent.
I like the song because when I am particularity ticked off ( today for example) it feels good to hear really loud.
The other night 18 said to me, did I know who Peter Gabriel was………. “ummmmm yes, and here let me school” you was my reply . So I went and did the fast search on YouTube and pulled off my favorite PG songs from my all time fav album – So. I forgot how good Red Rain was. My all time favorite tho has to be Don’t Give Up, so these are my two choices for today.

And please give a look at Peter’s website, it is chock full of videos of his commentary as well as a fan club and many other tid bits. Of course also listed is his tour info. I realize I have been totally lazy in updating the Artist Website Page so I will get that all gussied up by Friday. I have too many irons in the fire right now and even finding time to sleep is rare.
I love Southern Cross, it is one of Crosby Stills Nash finest songs. I find few bands I can sing with ( sing being a relative term for me, lol ) but I do love singing with CSN. I was planning to post something filled with awesome memories, but instead what I will say simply is this, take care to keep your memories close to your heart. I have fine memories of music, and thank god that I will never ever forget each song and what it means to me. Who I was with when I first heard the music and what I felt deep in my soul.
In 1969 a awesome musical storm was about to break out, Led Zeppelin. Their influence would stretch from the late 60s all the way to 2009 and beyond. The love that fans of Led Zeppelin have for the band is so obvious, as is seen by the hundreds if not thousands of comments I have been reading at various websites these last few months concerning Led Zeppelin getting back together. Each fan had opinions, but all were in agreement that we were musically blessed by this band of magical musicians.
The first album recorded by the group was Led Zeppelin, done in October of 1968 at Olympic Studios in London and released by Atlantic on the 12th of January. I am so glad that I became a member of the Led Zeppelin Family of Fans, I can not imagine my world with out Led Zeppelin in it.
