This year is going to be stellar for us 80’s Rock fans, with bands like Kingdom Come, Alice Cooper and *sigh* the Scorpions touring, here is the official band website listing with the tour dates ~
and if that does not whet your appetite for destructive music, how about some Dokken? They were touring up until the middle of March but the official website does not have any new dates listed. I have emailed the webmaster to see if there might be any dates added, I hope so! Too bad, wanted to hear Dream Warriors live.
And then we have the beloved Krokus, who was not a Midnight Maniac? I was, oh and what fun it was.But sadly, according to the Official site for the band, the US Tour has been cancelled and no reason given. Too bad, but I will keep an eye out incase that changes,
And then, come June we will all be treated to Def Leppard on Tour with Poison and Cheap Trick.
Another band I loved to listen to, KIX. I loved hearing Don’t Close Your Eyes, made me cry every time. They are touring in a few places through July, but there is one date that is chock full of rock bands ~ from their website:
Sat 5.30. Meriweather Post Pavillion M3 Rock Festival with Twisted Sister, Ratt, Extreme, Dokken, Slaughter, Y&T, Gilby Clarke, Keel, L.A. Guns, Jani Lane of Warrant, Jetboy, XYZ & Bullet Boys, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia MD, Kix will play on the main stage at 5pm map & tickets
Oh and what about XYZ any tours past the above? We will have to wait and see.
What about Warrant, any news? I know for a fact that Jani was said to be heartedly sick and tired of Cherry Pie ( yes, I slum and go to VH1 once in a while ) anyway, Jani is off doing his own thing and he seems really happy about that, if you read his blog you will see he is up to all sorts of stuff that is decidedly NOT Warrant related. Good for you. And yes, Warrant is touring as well, which can be checked with at their website – Warrantweb.
Sadly, no Cherry Pie will be on this website, because the MN have all the videos over at Utube with embedding disabled by request. Funny thing, back before any of these bands were beloved and made the Music Industry who they are today, you the Record Company would have been tickled pink for anyone to have been a fan, now… you think someone having an embedded video of your bands some how harms you? Gah, that is a post for another time, sorry I got off track there.
Any who, I am sure I will have more tours to post about in the next week, this will do for now Donkey.
And for tonight’s video picks? Well… who did I write about today? ;-p
Kingdom Come ~ Get it On, Live ’88′
Dokken ~ Dream Warriors * with Patricia Arguette and Robert Englund ( Freddie)
