Bob Seger – Warm voice of my past

First up, I would like to send my condolences to the families of Sgt. Christopher P. Abeyta of Illinois, Sgt. Robert M Weinger and Spc. Norman Cain III. These fine soldiers were taken from this life in Afghanistan last week . Sgt. Abeyta was a fellow blogger. Thank you for your service to our country and my family. May God Bless your families and know this is one American who is damn thankful for your service.

Sgt. Christopher P. Abeyta, 23, of Midlothian, Illinois, was killed last week while serving in Afghanistan. Sgt. Abeyta and two other soldiers who were with him, Sgt. Robert M. Weinger and Spc. Norman Cain III, were also killed when the vehicle they were riding in was struck by an IED.

Sgt. Abeyta ran a military blog from Afghanistan called The Chronicles of Butters! and according to a news story Sgt. Ab eyta had kept a journal since he was 11-years old…

Good morning fellow Rock Music fans!

It is a fine Tuesday morning, full of promise. Better end up as well as it has begun that is all I have to say :-)
My day is going to be full of music today as I have a few posts to write for this blog and a few other places. I also have to get my arse going on the PR for the Welcome Home to Jericho Event in LA coming up this April. If you are a Jericho fan, check out the Welcome Home website for all the cast and crew who have RSVP for the event. It will be a fun time for all.

I wanted to ask that if any of you have twitter accounts and want to join into a ROCK Twitter group to leave me word here. I think it would be a great way to connect and keep up on whose touring, what is up in the Rock arena etc. My account is kystorms, so if your into it hit me up.

I got to listen in to KNOB this morning and the first song I heard was Bob Segers Travlin Man from Beautiful Loser, one of the best Albums he did in IMHO.

I was trying to catch Blazy and Bob but its still a tad early for them out there, at 8:15 am est. I am going to hang for a while to catch their opening and see if I will be transported back in time ( yeah, still hanging on to my youth….. I know I can not be the only one who does that, right?)

Right now they are playing Heart – Crazy On You from Dreamboat Annie one of our generations finest female Rock Albums bar none.
In my list of finest female vocalists ( acts) it stacks up like this:

1. Stevie Nicks ( Fleetwood Mac )
2. Anne and Nancy Wilson ( Heart )
3. Annie LennoxEurythmics
4. Pat Benatar
5. Grace Slick - any, all ( Jefferson Airplane,

Now this list will move according to my mood, but these are the top ladies if I had to choose. I miss these types of strong female voices. Today’s female voice is dolled up with synthesizers and background noise. No one that I can see can belt out the tunes like the ladies of Rock could and some cases, still do.

Oh and to those yahoos who have been coming here leaving not so nice comments about certain things, KNOCK IT OFF. I wont be posting any of your drivel here any time soon, so you be wasting your time dudettes. While you are certainly welcome to your opinion, you can’t put it here :-p

I am off to get ready to listen in on Blazy and Bob. I will post on what I hear soon.
